Minister, Irean Henderson has an eye for insight. She is a poet laureate, songwriter, and musician. A native of Swainsboro, Georgia.  Irean and her family relocated to the District of Columbia.

Irean developed a passion for expressing herself with words. She took a creative writing class and constructed a poem.  Her ability to write is an expression of keeping life authentic, and with that perspective, her poetry eventually developed into music.

The churches were closed, under the stay-at-home order, so she sought an online platform and created demos. Irean’s strategy was to use unknown artists to assist her with getting her music to the internet.

The Gospel inspired her writing and gave life to them. God blessed, she began to read and recite poetry in front of congregations and audiences, and ultimately, she became a published author of inspirational poetry.

Irean realized that God called her to ministry and she accepted the call. During the pandemic, she picked up the microphone. God showed her that the microphone had a dual purpose.

Irean missed the presence of the Lord; it was then that God elevated her to producing gospel music. Though she lacked family support God increased her with more songs.

She concluded that folks did not support her pursuit of her goals but it is the very thing God gave her a passion for.

Through her relationship with God, He gave her a strategy, and Irean is passionately following the plan.

Excited at first, but there was a problem, Irean could not sing professionally. She asked herself, Why would God give music to a person who does not possess the ability to sing? God chooses flawed individuals to carry the message of the Gospel.

Irean wrote”He Answers Prayers” She decided to create a video to promote it.

God took my pain and gave me beauty for ashes… and I will forever sing his praises. “If you believe in your heart, and pray long enough, God will answer your prayers.”

Irean believed in herself and therefore, she acted on faith. Now this woman of strength and confidence has created a path for musicians who don’t possess the ability to sing. Through the internet, God has opened a door. Her goal is to get on the radio and minister the Gospel to mass audiences through music.

Irean ultimate goal is to connect and collaborate with other gospel musicians and continue to inspire the world through the gift of music.
